UGH I read further down on the OP supplied link to the Uhaul story and it was suggested that Conservatives might have supplied the signs to make the Liberals look bad in an election year....

There were also photos of the people that were arrested and they looked like they were dressed for battle. The Left keeps telling us that these are peaceful protests so why are those arrested often wearing battle gear like helmets, carrying shields and seen swinging weapons?
There was a curfew by 9 in Louisville. The peaceful protesters had up until that time to have their displeasure heard but at 9:01 the cops should have started clearing and sweeping the streets of the riff raff because at 9:02 those that are still there want to fight. I think the cops should take off the gloves and take these bozos out.

I was on their Discord last night, I know who found it out - they hate 4Chan.
I was watching it unfold yesterday afternoon on 4Chan in near real time (refresh vs. the real time of a discord channel).
Likely 2 groups simultaneously but separately coming to the same conclusion. Who knows who steals leads from the other or if they run on completely separate tracks. Further, I will not get a dopamine hit by researching to proclaim a winner (useless effort to do so).
Imagine hearing 3 days later 'A-ha' I was right!!! Sad there are people who actually go down those rabbit holes.
Is distributing "shields, masks, goggles and water bottles" illegal?
If not, I'm not sure under what pretense you would investigate anything from an LEO perspective. Of course journalists are free to investigate whatever they like within their powers and authority.
"Peaceful protestors" don't need shields, (gas)masks and goggles.
Water is fine if it's for drinking.
