Former president Barack Obama to hit the campaign trail for Joe Biden
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will hit the campaign trail next week on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, adding a potent voice to the Biden campaign’s efforts to increase turnout and enthusiasm in the final days of the 2020 presidential campaign.
Obama is scheduled to appear at an event for his former vice president and close friend on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to a release from the Biden campaign.
It will help. Obama, unlike Trump, is a great speaker, eloquent, humorous, polite and respectful, decent, upholds traditional American values of home and family, is as honest as a politician gets. (None of them are 100% honest and Trump isn't a politician but we've seen first hand and up close how dishonest a businessman can be.)
We want calm. Middle of the road. Normal. Not hollering, making fun of people, name calling, boorishness, crude behavior, telling blatant lies. America wants a return to normalcy, we tried the weird and outlandish and Trump Fatigue has set in.
why would Obama wait until now, unless he was concerned about the results? I mean, Joe was his wingman. The man who was in charge of saving the economy in 2009. The man who represented the Obama Administration in foreign affairs experience and knowledge.
I've got no problem with him, generally. No problems with a former POTUS endorsing or helping his party's candidate. His wife, Michelle, made some pretty strong and divisive statements about 2 weeks ago though.
Obama campaigned for Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and the guy who ran for Florida governor and senate (forgot their names). So maybe he should campaign for Joe. He brings good luck to the Republicans
Obama is a great speaker and is still very popular with Dems he has some 70 to 80 percent approval.
