I felt a sigh of relief when I saw that Trump lost.
Now because of the shenanigans the Trump campaign is pulling to try and undo the wishes of the American people through frivolous lawsuits, I won't fully be at ease till the electoral college completes their vote for Biden.
During World War II and in its aftermath, many people in the United States proudly wore this V for Victory button. They were united as one people then, regardless of who they were or their political affiliation. In hopes we will return to this common sharing of ideals and purpose, part of my celebration will be to wear this one over my heart, through January 20th. No need to comment further about what I'm celebrating. It would be great if this button could be re-issued in large numbers, so everyone who wants it, could have one.
Quite frankly, nothing because the basic point is, life goes on and the tasks that were there last week are still there this week....and next week and......
Really, I'll just breathe a sigh of relief. But....
If Biden wins, Trump will be whining, screaming, and stomping his foot nonstop about the cheating that must have occurred in order for him to have lost. Or he will just insist that he won and that Biden ballots were fraudulent, cast by dead people, cast by non-citizens, etc. And his followers will believe him and might decide to take up arms for him. He will probably get the SC involved. Foreign adversaries might try to take advantage of our divided nation. I don't think it will be peaceful at all for months.
But once that all simmers down, I'll just be relieved.

And, get a good night's sleep!
