No, he didn't. He never said antifa is a figment of the imagination at all.
There are no meetings, no club dues, no initiation, no memberships. All anyone has to do is show up and be ready to fight in whatever way a person can fight.
No one will ask you to fight, no one will demand you do, and no one will ever object if you don't fight.

You guys are really something. I had people tell me that all the trouble in Seattle and Portland is by white supremacists. It’s the most manipulative abuse tactic there is. Do you honestly think that if it were white supremacists causing all the problems all summer that the local governments wouldn’t have police put a stop to it?
There's a conservative for every one of them. It always takes two to tango, and Portland is full of both in equal measure.
That's why the fighting is so continual there. Neither side ever fights with itself; if one shows up anywhere, the other side surely will too.
