enumerate these overwhelmed hospitals.

then compare FL to MI, which is <1/2 the population. And let us know, based on the data, whether DeSantis or Whitmer is doing a better job managing Covid in their state.

Stupid, of course. DeSantis is not driven by science. The death count does not concern him, everything he says and does is driven by which way the political winds are blowing.

total cases/MM - 20th.
total deaths/MM - 14th.

Meanwhile, "idiot" Greg Abbott - 25th and 22nd

Meanwhile, please do thank Newsom for realizing what a **** show CA would be if the virus got out of hand there (illegals, homeless, dense urban areas) and keeping CA shut down.

you must be really proud of Abbott then, since TX is better than FL and obviously has that high Hispanic population and they're more apt to contract Covid.

About 132,000 tests were processed Wednesday, with a daily positivity rate of 7.58 percent.

Florida’s average weekly positivity rate is about 9 percent (8.74%), according to Johns Hopkins University.

ok, their current daily death #'s are 1/3 of early August. Cases are still just 60% of late July

30 day case surge are 17% of their total cases
extrapolating deaths out 10 more days would be 13% of their total.

Now, DeSantis SHOULD protect Floridians by making all NY'ers quarantine for 14 days, and be strict about it. The snowbirds will be flocking any day now.

NY, currently has lower number of new cases per capita and much lower positive test rate.

The question is, to what extent is that due to herd immunity in NYC? Back in April, antibody tests indicated that ~25% of the population tested positive for antibodies, and therefore had some degree of immunity. Obviously that percentage has only risen-but I haven't been able to find any current numbers on what that figure is. With that number infected, in a densely crowed rathole like NYC, you can be sure that every time you leave your house you are exposed to someone with it, and far more have been infected by now.
