To the contrary, I think you're missing the point of my statement relative to the thread (which was not specific to 'importing people', lol). What they don't understand, as a whole, is change i.e. globalization.

Wars carried out by the First Nations were to destroy other tribes. Call it what you may, matters not to me. I'll ask again, what do you want to do about it?, except complain.

I believe it may partially be due to US citizen’s mass infatuation with social media and news networks that are more opinion pieces looking for high ratings (aka money) than getting out facts and actual news. This all divides us even more.

Let’s try to have a civil conversation here. No need to rant about the left or right. No need for name calling.

Why is there so much hate in the USA? What is causing it?
Turn off internet for a week. We ll be back to the roaring 50 or 60. I m mean at cd onlynot in person.

Exactly, and there is culture clash also. IMO, it just contributes to division not unity.

And what specifically does "globalization" mean in a world where countries and people only care about their own interests and what benefits themselves?

You're not going to tell me you believe in some mythical concept like global cooperation, are you?

Utter nonsense! We just want to return to the rule of law, a sensible immigration system and able bodied people working. We have no desire to return to the days of racism. However, there were good things about the 50's also of which you and yours would never admit anyway. There is good change and bad change. We embrace the former not the latter. Bad change is socialism, globalism, a corrupt and immoral society, not securing our borders and importing more immigrants than we have jobs and resources for from third world countries.

It means (the need for) education and change, as a whole, i.e. survival rather than old-school thinking of the past. Often, hate is nothing more than a fear of what one doesn't understand.

That's par for the course. I've had to hide many great friends on Facebook (I know, trying to quit it). They were getting absolutely insane with the hate. They're still my friends at least I think we are. I don't discuss politics, period.

Another one who is OK with genocide it appears. THIS is the problem, when people minimize genocide.

What should one do?

A] those that are aware of it, recognize it, and don't try and deflect, defend or ignore it

B] teach the facts in elementary, junior and high schools.

C] right those wrongs that can be righted, including land

D] lobby State and Federal governments to acknowledge and address the situation
