How does our govt determine what is moral and what is not? What are they basing it on I wonder?
And the crazy thing is that it is the exact opposite of the censorship that was called for back in the 1970s. Back then it was the conservative "old folks" calling for the censoring of the "trash" liberal kids were listening to and watching. Now it is the supposed "liberals" calling for censorship--the VERY PEOPLE who were fighting against censorship back in the day. My how things change in two generations.

I thought it was a lot of fun with some catchy tunes...

And allow me to tell those born after 1990 where they can stick it.

Well, never mind. The post would just be deleted.

This is an example to the children why the boomers and generation X have such a beef with you. To the millennial and the zoomer everything is racist, sexist needs censorship or cancellation etc. They are not only depriving us all of freedom they are ruining life. They are all a bunch of little Marxist pains in the backside.

I am a Gen Xer and I know we are in so much trouble when our culture war allies the baby boomers pass away. We are the last old school pre digital generation that grew up American and not socialist/woke. When we are 70 we will be pariahs, the last of the older way of doing things, some of us who resist may even be locked in camps for the politically incorrect. The kids hate the older generations now and when they have the power they will wield it against us.
True, true.

If I could snap my fingers and have the world (at least my part of it) become the year Grease was released, I would do it in a heartbeat. In my opinion, since the "net" became a thing in the early 1990s, things have been going downhill rapidly. Since smartphones, even more so. Sometimes technology sucks.

These poor, sheltered, entitled children would crap themselves if they ever saw Animal House or Porky's.

And the people born after 2012 will speak just as LOUD and CLEAR on what THEY want. And it probably won't be what YOU want, and you'll get your panties in a wad. See how that works?

I fear the church may still be somewhat influential in politics today...

If the FCC censors TV shows for 'sexual content, language, etc'....their basis for censoring those things could come from no other source but 'the church'!!

Exactly! Was vacationing recently and had a high school age family member we were showing some of the better music videos from the 80's to. This person was "disgusted" by Michael Jackson grabbing his crotch but is okay with Post Malone singing drunk from his basement, regularly listens to rap that degrades women, and liked the female twerking from today's singers. What the heck is wrong with people?

Lame, as a millennial born in the 80s, I don't know what's worse anymore. The Gen Z woke crowd that applies everything to the modern world of the last 5yrs, or some in the Gen X crowd, with their near mental delusional fear mongering, on viewpoints that don't fit into their happy world.
