Somewhere Stephen Miller is chuckling about all of this. I imagine he helped write the speech Trump gave yesterday morning.

What that meant was that OAN hasn't posted that yet. You only posted "fake news".

The MAGA crowd are still reading about Trump's new "path to victory" on OAN and Newsmax so they haven't had time to look up anything else.

Look, I'm gonna say something that a lot of people on my "side" would not say and do not want to hear.

But I'm going to say it because it is the truth, and because it NEEDS to be said when Americans show up to express ourselves over what we see as injustice. It is true, I believe, of most of the protests we've ever had, including most of what happened over the summer, and it is true now, too.

Most of the people there, were there to be peaceful. They were not destroying anything. They were waving flags, they were there to be heard. Most of them stayed out on the grounds, and most of them did not attempt to enter the building.

Those who did, were a relative few. The inevitable relative few, who act in a similar way no matter their cause, who use a protest as an OPPORTUNITY to do behaviors that they cannot get away with otherwise. Damaging property, breaking into buildings, stealing. Whether it is looting a Target or stealing mail or a podium from the Capitol Building, either way you've got a majority who showed up just to make their point by standing in a crowd with signs or flags or whatever, chanting maybe, that kind of thing...and a minority who show up to "go wild." Because they feel emboldened by being part of a group. Because maybe they think they can get away with it. Whatever.

I am not going to condemn the entire crowd, because of the actions of relatively few. Nor will I act as though everyone who supports Trump, no matter how much I disagree with them, is represented by the goobers who invaded the Capital Building. And no matter what I think, Americans have a sacred right to speak our minds and assemble in protest. All of us do.

I think that everyone needs to break free from the trap of outrage porn and quit judging half of our fellow Americans by the most upsetting example that anyone can stick under our noses on the internet or the news.

Now I do agree that the very different behavior of police and the Guard contrasted to different kinds of protests is not right. But I think that there were orders, someone (maybe Trump himself) deliberately hobbled them and ordered them to diminish what their normal response to any demonstration of this size would have been. I know people who were at the Women's March, and there was a much more serious presence of armed law enforcement there, and strict rules against things like backpacks (only transparent ones allowed) and no selfie sticks or poles or anything that could be a weapon. People used gift wrap tubes to hold signs. So yeah, the standard stuff was NOT DONE and someone is responsible for that. I can think of a few possible reasons, but I will refrain from speculation.

While that's nice al all, they absolutely do not make finding any specific police report even remotely easy. It's here somewhere.

Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Find it yourself. Lefty propaganda rag Washington Post (who apparently found the police report but didn't link it) reported:
Quote:
Vazquez said when police arrived at the protest, they spotted three potential violations and advised the protesters of them. “We like to give people one chance to address the violations before we move forward with summonses,” Vazquez said. “They were advised of the violations, they understood, and they left within 10 minutes.” There was no indication in the police report that officers spoke with Hawley’s wife or any indication of who called police, Vazquez said.

Vazquez noted that under Virginia law it is a misdemeanor to protest outside a private residence. The law prohibits any person from engaging “in picketing before or about the residence or dwelling place of any individual” and assembling “in a manner which disrupts or threatens to disrupt any individual’s right to tranquility in his home.”

The protesters also violated the Vienna town code for noise and litter, Vazquez said. The town code prohibits the “creation and continuation of any excessively loud, disturbing noise” which can be heard more than 50 feet from the source. Vazquez said an officer’s report indicated the group had two electric bullhorns. The town also prohibits dumping trash on private property, and some debris could be seen on the Hawley property when the officers arrived, though it was later picked up, Vazquez said.
Yes, the policeman arriving onsite says they were breaking multiple laws. He decided to let the mob disperse and made no arrests, but he could have. Whether he thinks the Hawley's were threatened is purely conjecture and his own personal opinion. Here's the anti-picketing law:
https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/...ction18.2-419/

Bigger point: The police report is 100% irrelevant. You can either answer the question or continue to dodge it because you know you like seeing Senators and Congressmen on the other team, "put in their place." The point is that you lack moral consistency. Either it's okay for angry protesters to approach Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen with the intent to intimidate and coerce them to to the mob's bidding, or it's not okay. Yes law were broken, but even if no laws were broken, it's a very simple question of right or wrong.

So how about actually answering the question. Is it okay or is it not okay??

The FBI has reportedly received thousands of tips identifying the Capitol attackers.

While quite a few were stupid enough to take selfies, this guy wins the Darwin Award for today:

“A Maryland marketing firm has fired an employee who was seen wearing a company
badge after breaking into the U.S. Capitol during the pro-Trump riot on Wednesday.”

I agree with some of this, but the law enforcement shot a lady dead. When did they shoot a BLM rioter dead for entering a building?
