Well Stacey Abrams set up those voter registration organizations to pay her a quarter million a year for part time work. And then she used the data to support her run for governor.

Our government’s access is for sale. I’d say ban all speaking fees, but they’d find another way to sell access.
What access does an ex President have.....

We all are fed up with DC, but keep electing the same ol same ol congressmen and senators. Go figure. We put all our hopes for reform on the POTUS who can't do jack without the house and senate.
The problem is we need to attack the fuel source that put these politicians in power.
Corporate Money. A lot of these corporations and banks actively encourage their higher level members to go into politics with the promise of a very lucrative return in the favor once done.

How are they working for us if the majority of the time is spent raising funds?
Where are they actually devoting time to this country rather than working to enrich themselves?

Has there been a shift in your thinking? I thought you were a hardline democrat.

We should not question our elected leaders. They are out there everyday, saving lives through legislation and press conferences. We should trust always that any politician truly cares about you and your loved ones. I am not talking about Republicans though. They are all evil and only care about big companies like Dominion or Twitter

His phone. Call a member of your party to grease something through. The unstated implication is that you'll face strong primary opposition the next election.

I think you stumbled into the wrong thread with that response.

Or maybe non-sequiturs are your specialty?

Anyway, to the OP's point, DC has become one of the most lucrative gigs one can obtain what with the salaries, bennies and outright influence one can peddle.
