Did I say that? I dont remember specifying a party, YOU DID THAT. I dont think voting for any multi-millionaire or richer is good whatever their politics. I would say voting for a millionaire or 500 thousand heir is just as bad, but anymore inflation and greed has ramped price of real estate to crazytown so pretty easy for somebody that bought a house in right place for reasonable price long ago is fairly well off.

Or maybe non-sequiturs are your specialty?

Anyway, to the OP's point, DC has become one of the most lucrative gigs one can obtain what with the salaries, bennies and outright influence one can peddle.

Uh, its quite appropriate. What do rich men want? To be richer! So vote for rich man and he has more irons in the fire trying to get ever richer. And how does a rich man get rich? Right, its off the backs of worker class.

Though anymore thats considered old fashion and too slow. Its all gambling and speculation and of course manipulation through political power.

So again why would anybody vote for anybody with a net worth over $1M? Let alone a self proclaimed billionaire??

It's all about billions in foreign aid, with "Big guy Biden" getting 10% off the top. Channel it through a couple of fronts and call it "campaign contributions" and he's home free, while the taxpayer is on the hook for all that money.

Because any candidate has to buy their way into the media to get enough publicity to reach out across the USA on prime time TV, then you've got millions of signs, travel for rallies, and the like. $1M isn't going to even be enough for a down payment to get started. It's too bad it works that way, when instead each candidate could get a time slot to make their case on C-span or something.

People dont go into public service to get rich! LOL

America is the most corrupt nation on the entire planet, its pretty obvious when so many of our leaders are so extremely wealthy, (they receive all that money IN RETURN for favors and special consideration). Citizens could do the same thing if they had enough money to 'influence' the politicians.

I vote stated policies and views. Not their financial worth.
