The way things are going, Republicans will have to be a protected class. “Discrimination is illegal if it is based on race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or refusing to support Leftist policies.”
Republicans won't be a protected class. Trump Supporters....well, they may be an incarcerated class the way they're going. And frankly, long overdue.
LMAO, "leftist". When you have no argument, resort to name calling.
I'm the conservative here, free market and all. I've always supported letting the market sort itself out. But yeah let's let a bunch of pretend conservatives express their fake outrage because the market killed off a business that doesn't want to play by the rules it LEGALLY agreed to.
“Leftist” hardly qualifies as name-calling. Try Nazi, racist, Hitler sympathizer, and amoral scum. These are very typical names the left calls conservatives. Now that these insults have been repeated so often that it’s not having the desired effect of bullying us into silence, we are being outright silenced.
In the meantime, I thought Curt Shilling was a baseball player. (Google time....)
Edited to add: just looked him up. He was a baseball player. So what’s the problem?

Ah. So you think people who think Trump has been wronged, and millions do, should be put in jail if they say so? The leftists will have this place looking like Communist China before the year is out.
Here it comes. Corporations, in tandem with the Democrat Party will begin punishing people for wrong-think. The Party is now and will continue to use big corporations to implement its policies. Soon people will find their bank accounts closed, credit cards canceled, insurance policies canceled, and a whole host of other things meant to force compliance with the Party.
They will say such will never happen, and then they will admit it's happening and justify it.
Stay tuned.
You know big business was the pride and joy of the Republican Party for a VERY long time, right? The Democrats were always very ANTI-big business.
Untll the Republicans devolved into the Maury Povich show they are now.
From Janet Ruiz, director of strategic communication for the Insurance Information Institute.
If businesses file a claim because of the protests, would premiums rise?
It doesn’t affect [the premiums] in the near future. Generally, catastrophes get looked at more in the long-term average. [The California Department of Insurance] looks at a 20-year history when they look at catastrophe. The rates don’t go up immediately—only if you were having riots every year. I’m usually talking more about wildfires or hurricanes. In California over the last five years, we’ve had some large wildfires. Those five years are going to be averaging into that 20-year history, so you could see rates increase
So yes and no. Like most things, its a grey area. I can say that many homeowners here had their insurance increase dramatically or they were dropped in the year following the Carr Fire.
Good discussion,
1) again (and I cannot stress this enough) each state makes up their own rules.
2) There are unregulated segments where some insurers secure their own protections against catastrophes and pass those costs along to consumers. THOSE costs can manifest immediately in many states.
<Again, anything I say on this topic is wrong somewhere. >
3) Many of those losses may not be classified as riot or just be a broader trend caused by general unrest (incidents in the days surrounding not deemed riot but rather just vandalism).
