Oh please . Matt gaetz is a fraud. He has deep pocketed donors tied to multinationals.
Doesn’t basically every elected official in DC have a similar donor list? What about state officials? Trump literally IS a multinational, and he funded a lot of his own campaign.
I think that argument can be waved at just about anyone you want to wave it at.
More than half of all Republicans in the House have signed a petition to remove House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney from her leadership position as a result of her vote to impeach President Trump last week.
This should be enough to effectively end her political career. She also has big problems back home in Wyoming. She already has a significant primary opponent who has announced.
To be fair, I am not a Republican and the Republican party is not worth rooting for or supporting
Is the bolded a new twist?
You did vote for Trump, right?

, even with this move. But I am happy to see it.
Why?

She needs to be ousted.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Liz. Bye bye.
Liz Cheney and the other establishment, Bush/Romney never-Trump types were expected to make an effort to try to re-establish themselves as the soul of the Republican party after Trump left office. If Cheney gets the boot from the Republican House leadership team as a result of her vote on impeachment, that will be a serious loss and a rebuke to that effort.
The fact is that the vast majority of Republican voters support the Trump agenda, regardless of whether Trump is leading it or not. At the same time, many of the Republican leadership types in Washington just want to promote and advance themselves within the Washington establishment elite, which the Trump agenda is contrary towards.
So it looks like either the Republican leaders need to rustle up a new base of support for the advancement of their selfish establishment elite aspirations, or the Republican base needs to find a way to get some new leaders in Washington who are committed to representing and supporting the aspirations of their constituents.
The ouster of Liz Cheney from the Republican House leadership team would be a big move in support of the latter of these two options.
Uh-huh
You claimed in your OP that you’re not a Republican, and that the Republican Party is not worth rooting for, yet (above) you obviously care about the composition of Republican leadership.
They should care more about doing what is right than getting re-elected.
Yeah. They're also saying that they and their families have been threatened by trumpees about the impeachment vote, and many said off the record that they would have voted for impeachment if not for the threats. But if you're not gonna do your job, you shouldn't have the job.

The poster was countering someone who said Gaetz only took donations from individuals.
While Cheney isn't ethical, she isn't stupid either. She had to know that pulling such a stupid stunt while pretending to represent her constituents in Wyoming would be the end of her career as a republican. Maybe she's got a gig lined up at CNN. That's where many duplicitous politicians end up.
So....what percentage of her constituents are Trumplicans ?
Liz Cheney will be primaried by Wyoming state Senator Anthony Bouchard. Bouchard is a strong backer of President Trump, as are the people of Wyoming. In fact, the state of Wyoming provided President Trump with his highest level of support both times that he ran.
So it is not really clear what Liz Cheney was thinking here, except maybe that she is above and beyond any need to concern herself with what the values and priorities of her constituents are, with her being the daughter of former Vice President Cheney and all.
Hopefully, she will not be burdened with any such responsibilities beyond her current term of office.
Bouchard got at least one thing wrong....
Standing up for Cadet Bonespurs does not = standing up for America .
Elise Stafanik would be a very fine replacement for Liz Cheney.

Again demonstrating that you care who is in leadership in a party that, in your OP, you claim you are not a member of and is not worth supporting nor rooting for.
