No, I doesn’t.

Once at least one article of impeachment has passed a vote on the House floor (not in committee, but on the House floor), the President has been Impeached. Then the articles of impeachment can then be delivered to the Senate ahead of a trial.

Bill Clinton was impeached.

He wasn’t ‘less impeached’ by being acquitted in his trial and not removed from office.

Wow, this conversation has gone everywhere! Let's just blame it on the "deep state", since some of ya'll think the courts are corrupt, Congress is corrupt, but Trump is NOT corrupt in your eyes. Gimmie a break, he has been a liar, cheat, and a thug his entire life.

Take of look at some of the pardons that he issued. People defrauded millions if not a billion dollars from Medicare and were rightfully convicted. Ooh, but that's okay w/ our ex President, pardon for those fine citizens! Just one example of his mindset, not to mention, Michael Flynn, Manafort, Bannon and our favorite Roger Stone...what a crew, hahaha!

Sad thing is it's not really funny at all. Just a bunch of sorry SOB's lying and cheating and stealing as much as they can, including your wits. Hard to believe how many millions of people he has brainwashed.

I seriously doubt that Trump would be a viable candidate in the future, but if the American people want the man, what is your justification for depriving them of that option?

I think we had two terrible options in 2020, but Joe Biden was by far the worse of the two. That doesn't mean that I think Biden should have been banned from running. My negative opinion of somebody shouldn't deprive others of their right to like and vote for them.

So you want to use government to limit who the people are allowed to vote for? Based on your preferences?

This is incorrect. The Constitution protects elected officials from prosecution, particularly the President. The Senate is not making any meaningful determination of guilt or not. They are voting to remove the president from office. If he is removed, he will then be beholden to the regular legal processes. Any conviction for a crime or sentencing has absolutely nothing to do with the Senate. And believe me, any attempt to prosecute Trump for incitement or insurrection would be laughed out of court because there's no evidence for it.

The first impeachment attempt on Trump cited no crimes, and simply attempted to remove DJT "Because we really don't like you." If that had been successful, Trump would not have gone to directly to prison. No crime was ever specified. Just "conduct unbecoming" and the like which breaks no laws.

The Democrats discovered what we kind of already knew: The impeachment process can be used as a naked show of political partisan drama. It doesn't have to be grounded in anything but contempt for the other team's president.

Ivanka is all-in for 2024. That’s the inside scoop, should they be successful with Trumps lifetime ban from baseball, I mean presidency.
They need to completely crush his entire dynasty.
She is definitely a threat. His sons, not so much.

So can anyone justify an impeachment trial? ???? You mean besides the founding fathers?
