That’s a bit disingenuous. Almost all of the racist southern Democrats left the party and switched to red in response to LBJ’s civil rights act. Take Jessie Helms for example. He switched over in 1970.

I liked Trump and voted for him twice but he is done and should not run again but his son Don Jr is one smart cookie and he knows how to keep his foot out of his mouth and wouldn't get his thumbs in a twist on Twitter but the establishment won't allow it.
I think in time the one that beats Biden will be Biden unless Father Time catches up with him first.
Ben Sasse is likely to have a real battle on his hands just trying to maintain his Senate seat through the Republican primary when he is up again. {See Liz Cheney for reference.}
He just won election overwhelmingly. The Presidential election will be 2024. Sasse's term isn't up to 2026. Hopefully Trumpism is dead by then.
Should we ever have secure elections inthe future it would be niki haley and Tim Scott. Cruz would be good.
