I doubt that was the original intention.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

When Democrats passed the Great Society, they didn't foresee it being the backbone legislation that broke the black American family apart for good. Now it's 2021 and the black out of wedlock birthrate is 72%+, all but ensuring the continued regression of black prosperity that no dedicated month of history will change.

Sadly, that's all too true.

Indeed. But there's always hope that one day blacks will stop waiting for Democrats to save us, and we start saving ourselves.

Interesting, telling history depends on the person to tell it correctly.

I don't think the implications are that it isn't real American history but it can be suppressed or marginalized. Let's be real here, a large portion of African American history will make Euro Americans uncomfortable. Some Euro Americans think that it would cause division to have AA's learn about the history of their group in an objective way. Some think that it will teach AA's to hate "white" people. I think it will teach us to get on the path of self reliance more than anything.

We already do. All those groups have months. People just act like they don’t because they simply have a problem Black History Month.

I guess that some folks go from his post's sentiment to becoming aware that other groups have their months to wanting the same attention and focus that BHM has. I personally don't care if Google has a link on the local Latin@ businesses or Asian American factoids. I wouldn't blow a fuse on these things.

America today is a large majority of old white people who are afraid of the increasing numbers of blacks/browns/muslims/etc., or anyone who doesn't have lily white skin. They see their white world disappearing and they are shaking in their boots. As minorities numbers are increasing in our professional community these same white people are being forced to accept the black doctor or dentist and they really don't like it.

One way these old white folks handle the situation is through denial. Just like the Covid 19 denial they refuse to believe or accept the rise of minorities.

Trump gave these people hope. In Trump they saw a racist just like themselves and so they came out of the closet and identified their true agenda.

Most of these people operate under the premise, "...if I don't see it, it isn't real." These folks don't want to see or hear anything about blacks/browns/muslims, etc. especially Black History Month.

What utter nonsense! I'm an old white person and the only objections I have is of those here illegally. Blacks have just as much right to be here as whites do and they have never been a large population anyway. As for Muslims as long as they are the peaceful kind then I don't object to them either and neither do my old white friends.

You don't speak for the majority of old white people I think you are making nasty claims about them because it is YOU that hates white people and specifically old white people. You fool no one!

Trump gave us hope that illegal immigration would end and he tried his best to do so. How is that racist? It appears it is you who is the racist!
