To a large extent, it's the same mentality that drives spam e-mail. Spam a million accounts, and even if only five people respond, you profit.

Throw out a million conspiracy theories, and even if only five get traction, you win.

Were you and Kevin McCarthy in a coma together?

I don't need anyone to tell me that holdovers, appointees and employees hired during the Obama Administration would try to subvert a duly elected president if they thought that the new president would submarine Obama's completely corrupt legacy.

I wouldn't care what QAnon thinks, but now they have disciples in the US Congress.

(the reason why this article focuses on the price of the hotel is because it's a business site)

So when he doesn't get sworn in and they've paid outrageous hotel room prices do they still believe?

Having a large group of followers who can't/won't think on their own means you need explain nothing.

Here's the main Q thread that was on the front page of this very forum for many months. Started by a true Q believer.

You will note that the first post in the thread is from 2018.

I celebrate march 4th every year. Why? because its a neat play on words, and march is in the middle of a vacation day desert. Sooo..I often take the day off. Lets not ruin this like my wardrobe got messed with. Suddenly all black means antifa. And I live near Portland. And often in Portland.

Right, and the OP and several others in that thread are very much active here (many have posted in this subforum today - you can check most recent posts). Of course, not as open about labeling their conspiracy nuttiness as "Q" content by name as they used to be, but it's all the same stuff.
