Millennials are currently the worst generation. I say that as a millennial.

However as others have pointed out, the GI Generation > Baby Boomers > Millennials. And Silent Generation > Generation X > Generation Z.

Our culture has been in decline for half a century. I blame affluence.

It led me to more interesting articles about Millenials, one of which was on Buzzfeed (which they would never publish now, and you can see that with half the images censored and removed since original publication in July 2016):

19 Reasons Why Millennials Are Totally Destroying This Country
  1. They have bad hobbies.
  2. They're terrible at saving.
  3. They don't care about the important things.
  4. They hate having fun.
  5. They never make good investments.
  6. They've got it too easy.
  7. They never get off their dang phones.
  8. I mean, COME ON. LOOK UP, MILLENNIALS.
  9. They can't take a joke.
  10. They don't work hard enough.
  11. They're always getting offended over everything.
  12. I mean, EVERYTHING!!!
  13. They've got terrible ideas.
  14. Their heads are always in the clouds.
  15. Did I mention they're always on their darn phones?
  16. They're useless.
  17. They can't do anything right.
  18. They take too many selfies.
  19. And they're not miserable enough.

I will note that the first user comment below is "says the generation that raised them",
and that person is not wrong. 100% the worst parenting generation on top of it that
gave us this disease. TOTAL dereliction of duty
And some just keep blaming someone else and scream about taking personal responsibility- lol. This thread is hilarious!

It is possible to take personal responsibility and blame others if you are not at fault. Not everyone is equally culpable.

That’s like blaming the chess pieces for your loss.

They have no power. To the degree they might have power it’s hereditary. They are the soldiers. You can’t blame the soldiers, or the citizens alone for a war. You blame the entire country because they allow it to happen so long as it is a free society. In totalitarian structures it is plainly obvious who is responsible, no one else has any power.

Nor mine. All 3 are hard working and focused, but many of their peers sure do look like what was described.

Life isn't fair.

No money to save but plenty for drinking and cigarettes.

It's the overweight youth that is the true shame. That is a new thing and indicative of a social sickness.

Wait a minute, Blake. Are you saying that it wasn't us Boomers that did it? Oh my gawd. I'm so relieved. I felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. Now, I feel free!

Teen pregnancy has decreased significantly over the past several decades.

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...-rate-falling/

I assume you are a boomer of Gen X'er (like me)....much higher teen pregnancy rates for those two cohorts as compared to those below us.

The entire U.S. society is more obese now as compared to 30 years ago....at all age brackets.

First of all, our country is not destroyed. And stop this nonsense of blaming future generations for things going wrong. We have survived every single generation since the beginning of our existence. The older generation always complains about the younger generation. But yet, the next generation always advances our future with knowledge the past generations don't have.
