The simple matter is that the professor noted that the lower end of the class was disproportionately represented by blacks. That is the result of affirmative action - when you admit students under lower academic standards due to race, those students will tend to pull up the rear.

So, I would change your last sentence to: as long as we continue affirmative action in which less is required of blacks than whites (for admission), the situation the teacher noted will continue to exist. If we abolish AA and admit the most qualified students regardless of race, then black and white students will (on average) perform equally.
So are the white students who pull up the rear legacy admissions? Are the white women who pull up the rear affirmative action admits?

White women have to generally meet the same high academic standards as white men for admittance. Why do you keep persisting in the fallacy that white women receive affirmative action based on race when it is based on sex and the same all females receive? White women do not receive race based affirmative action per se.

Every group at such rates?

That is like saying the poverty rate of blacks is no big deal because every group has people in poverty.

What rates? Please do give the rates for Georgetown Law.

Why do people act as though white women don’t receive affirmative action?

This whole discussion is hypocritical. Many white women have ridden the affirmative action train to their respective destinations and now want the train to stop running.

Instead of a real discussion about an issue that impacts every part of our society in a negative fashion, this is a typical partisan name-calling exercise. Pretty much guaranteed that a lot of energy gets expended and nothing whatsoever accomplished.

This is our future people. Name calling and finger pointing with no progress.

I think that everyone who is mad at higher education should boycott it. Absolutely do not send your kids or grandkids or yourself to a college of any kind. Stand up for what you believe in people!

She meant that the bottom level of achievement in her classes is disproportionately black. A bright person would not need this explained to them.

She is a law professor. She is fully able to express herself and doesn’t need your desperate interpretation. A bright person would not need that explain to them.

And what culture do the students at Georgetown Law School subscribe to? Please tell us all.

In fact, what culture does the ONE Black student in her class this semester subscribe to? Where is he or she from? Was he or she born in the U.S.? Does he or she have a family? Is he or she religious?

Tell us ALL about his or her culture and that of all the “black” students at Georgetown Law.

And again, that's the result of affirmative action policies that admit blacks in with lower GPAs and test scores than whites and Asians.

It seems the leftists want it both ways:

1) Keep racist policies that allow blacks in with a poorer academic record than that required for whites and Asians, and....

2) Get angry (and yell racism) if anyone points out that blacks, 2/3rds of whom were admitted under the lesser standard, are disproportionately represented at the bottom of the class (as would be expected).

Blacks who would have gained admittance even under the more demanding admission standards do as well as their white peers (as would be expected).
