Yeah, you can make all sorts of alarmist statistical headlines when the baseline is 1....

Also...It looks like its a whole lotta murder...but not much else.

https://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/71978

You can play with the data there. If it was a funding issue you would see other crimes go up as well, but the data doesn't reflect that.

We're just a murderous bunch apparently. But not sex offenses, assault, etc.

Another leftist policy that ends in failure.
Not only does FOX make up News, now they are making up math.

Yeah. Its not even close to a 2000% increase looking at the actual data. They desperately cherry picked that I suspect. They should have stuck with the truth that its gone up. And by quite a bit. Looking at the data it looks like most of its gang related activity. And theyre really dropping large amounts of firepower. Leads to innocents being killed.

Mathematically, it's a 1,900 percent increase. That's not 2,000, but I'm willing to grant that it's pretty close. The percentage figure grabs one's attention, but the real story, which should not be overlooked, is that homicides in Portland have risen by a substantial rate.

If you have the real numbers then share them.

No it wouldn't surprise me if Fox, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo or any of the other usual suspects lied their butts off. It's what they do.

The numbers being cited: 20 homicides in 2020 for every 1 homicide in 2019. Yes that would indeed be a 2000% increase. It's playing games with the numbers to allow you to kick out a big scary number like "2000!!! OMG!!!" But that does seem like a very plausible outcome considering the insanity we saw all last year.

Now if the reported numbers are wrong, they all you have to do is cite a legitimate source with the correct figures. If you can't do that, then you're just wrong and being bitter about that fact.

Go look at my link earlier. They're VASTLY misrepresenting things by cherry picking time ranges specifically-and even lying about the math.

Its insulting to their viewers intelligence you would think.

There was a record nationwide rise in homicides in 2020 that is continuing.

I saw a video a while back of someone following a protestor/rioter/pro defund the police people back to their place of residence in Oregon. Was a typical single family home neighborhood. The video immediately showed people running all over their yard causing damage to plants. Someone pissed in their porch. Someone had trash and threw it over their fence. The owners came out and starting shouting to get off their property and that they were calling the police. The other side yells back.....go ahead you want to defund them and they won’t help you over this petty stuff. The look on that owners face was priceless.......all retarded looking.
