You can play with the data there. If it was a funding issue you would see other crimes go up as well, but the data doesn't reflect that.

We're just a murderous bunch apparently. But not sex offenses, assault, etc.
Well when the prosecutor drops over 80% of the charges against the goons that have been destroying property since last May it does tend to clean crime stats up a bit.

It also helps when the District Attorney makes a special announcement listing all the crimes his office won't prosecute. That sounds like a top-notch idea. https://www.koin.com/news/protests/m...rotest-policy/

And the sex offenses went up some today, guy is charged with almost 200 counts of child sexual abuse.

Let it burn.

Just don't move to a red state and then spread the fire.

I don’t feel sorry for anyone dumb enough to live in Portland. They’re getting what they voted for.

Sadly, the Leftists do and they are proud of it. They tell us here all the time about how happy they are of turning this state blue or that state blue.

Sorry, Igor Blevin, but no way does it work that way. The Oklahoma Republican governor let more prisoners out of prison in one day than anybody else ever did in the history of America. So what happened? One of those he let out murdered 3 people.

So make no doubt, whatsoever, that here on this forum that conservatives need to get over the idea that it's only leftists or Democrats who are soft of crime.

Another leftist policy that ends in failure.

Yes. I can't wait until idiot liberals realize that getting rid of qualified immunity applies to all public officials, not just the police. We'll need bigger jails to house all of these lefty idiot politicians.

So your argument is that OTHER crime stopped? LOL. Heres reality-do we want our jails full of protestors on TRULY weak charges that you will probably lose? Do you want to spend the time prosecuting folks where they will probably win?

OR...do you want to prosecute the 20% of the folks who actually were violent, and not just protesting? Yeah.

MEANWHILE this is about murders specifically.

*checks. Nope still prosecuting murder. Any more nonsense?

Ahhh...so in your world 1 guy catching 200 charges means that crime is up...uh huh. OK.

MEANWHILE...this is still about murder.

Yeah I get you're trying to twist yourself into a pretzel to somehow make this a thing...its not.

Forgive them, they know not what they do. Seriously. They have no clue what kind of world they are going cause their grandchildren to have to live in. Few freedoms. Very high costs. Failing to be among the rapidly shrinking middle class. Absolutely non-existent privacy. Tracked everywhere doing everything. Herded like cattle. They just can't see what hell on earth they are creating. They think they are creating a Utopia.
