Lol. You are banned from entering, so I guess the advice not to travel is sound.

False.

Death by Covid per million

USA 1,726

Canada 612

Why post stuff that is easily disproven?

Why tell Americans not to travel to Canada, when you can't in the first place?

Odd, very odd.

If your government was serious, they would ban Canadians travelling to the US, or at least enforce a quarantine rule.

Yet, nothing.

Odd, very odd.

No country on earth is doing well with the rollout except tiny Israel (for the Jewish population only) and the US. We can all be thankful for the skills of the people Biden put on this task. It's been a long time since the US could look down their noses at anyone.

Canadians get asked 98209834902384 times a day would they rather have the US or their universal health system. 86% more or less say no.

They get it both ways. They can come down here to jump the line for ELECTIVE surgery as Canada prioritizes life threatening condition surgery. Win win for them.

All Israeli citizens 16 and older have the ability to get vaccinated in Israel. Its not just Jews. In addition Israel has been vaccinating all foreign workers in Israel and not charging them to be vaccinated.

Canada is so rich and has such a healthy budget they probably could just lose the entire tourist industry and not have any bad effects.
I think it would be more accurate to say that they'd like to put one-way locks on the border. Plenty of Canadians came to America pre-COVID, especially in the winter. (Gee, I wonder why?)

Sigh.

This MYTH has been proven false time and time again.

In fact the MYTH was manufactured by US Health Insurance, to make Americans believe that their system was better than UHC.

"I sold Americans a lie about Canadian medicine. Now we’re paying the price."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlo...ce-canada-lie/

The facts are, that approximately 50,000 to 62,000 Canadians receive some form of healthcare outside of Canada a year.

This is outside of Canada, not necessarily the US, but safe to say that the majority may be. Those numbers for example would included going to Europe, as one friend did for experimental cancer treatment not available in Canada. Unfortunately in her case it did no good.

It also includes snowbirds who are on travel health insurance and say break a leg and need treatment. This type of insurance does not cover someone saying, " hey, while I'm in California, I'll have that heart operation" since no travel insurance covers non-emergency care.

In other words, they would pay out of pocket.

It also makes NO sense for a Canadian with a serious illness, to go to the US for care. Beside having to pay full price, they would also have to pay for accommodation , travel, on an ongoing basis. Many health issues are ongoing. It's not just a one stop shop, you have follow up appointments, test etc.

Why on earth would a Canadian put themselves through that, when at home you get all that without extra cost.
Don't believe the lies that people don't get good care in Canada. It is a lie.

Why would they even want to. Maybe in August.
