Automated emails and phone calls from the state’s Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) have asked foster parents if they can take anywhere from one to 26 or more children.
“We were outraged. They’re literally going to use the foster system to facilitate human trafficking,” he said.
She said foster parents are being placed “between a rock and a hard place” because there are currently 30,000 American children in the Los Angeles County foster system waiting for placement. “Someone loses a bed and it’s not fair.”
We need to change the laws so we can send kids back to their home countries. It would be cheaper to pay foreign foster families or orphanages to take care of them if their parents don't want them.
I adopted a very troubled young man from Chicago. He is now my best friend. My answer to the OP? If I were younger I might. I never blame the child. I never met a child that wasn't worthy of love. I just dont know that an old white guy is the best choice. I think they should be searching through the hispanic families.

This is outrageous since there are so many American children that need foster parents! I agree, the laws need changing. No way in hell should we be allowing unaccompanied minors into our country that show up at our border alone.

I mean I get where you’re coming from. I think the outrage is putting illegal immigrants ahead of those within the system here legally.

Exactly!
As long as our country puts up with this nonsense, more and more unaccompanied minors are going to show up at the border.
What is particularly evil about all this is that many of these kids are being trafficked. Many of them are raped and/or killed along the way. It's long past time to put a stop to this BS
Meanwhile, we can't even properly help American kids who need to be placed in foster care.
There was an article about 2 weeks ago in my local news. The Fed wanted to put illegal children into the state's foster care system (SC). The Governor told them no, our state foster care system is at capacity and his obligation was to the citizens and residents of SC.
It’s sad we have any foster kids period. I understand why they send the kids up the road from CA but with the drug, alcohol and abuse problem - we are over crowded. I say let the families come get the kids no questions asked besides the legal family connection. Most of the kids have a family member here. But to get arrested and deported looking for the kid- won’t help.
