We should unless there is a legitimate disability or other reason. Without skin in the game, we get a degenerate society of takers.

Under normal circumstances, able bodied adults without children typically do have to volunteer or work part-time to be eligible for SNAP benefits unless they are in areas with high unemployment.

That's an easy one. If everyone worked and contributed like responsible adults, we wouldn't need to import the poorest of the poor from 3rd world countries to replace American citizens... Duh!

I've always felt that if you are receiving a unemployment check from the government, you should be treated as a government employee. Even if you report to work with your primary assignment is to perform a job search.

Unemployment is insurance that you pay for in taxes. It's not handouts like welfare.
