I do believe police deserve to be well paid for the risks they may take on. I also think they need better training -- as much for their own safety as to better manage situations out in the community.

I don't like the word defund and I've had multiple conversations with folks more liberal than I that the word itself is not a good one. It doesn't clearly define for most what the changes should be.

I do think we have to address mental health issues, drug addiction, petty crimes differently.
