That sounds good. I approve.

I agree, but I just don’t think Trump could win in 24. The Dems will once again pull out all the stops and every dirty trick in the book to beat him again. There is no way they would let him win again.

Also, he is getting up there in years. Desantis is still pretty young. I think it’s high time we get some younger blood in the Oval Office. We’ve had quite the parade of old farts and dementia joe is showing clearly that age doesn’t play well when you are trying to run a country.

Strategically I think Desantis is the better choice if we actually want to win against Harris and whoever her VP pick winds up being (no way in hell joe is in any fit state to run for a second term). Desantis and Cruz as VP would be a solid ticket for 24

But woudln't they cheat no matter who runs? I just don't think they'd cheat more with Trump than with Desantis. Trump is older but he has his wits about him. We need someone strong like he is. I think if Trump decides to run, it would be good but if not, Desantis and Cruz would be good too.

To be honest, I'll be happy enough just to be rid of what we have now. It's horrible.

I think it depends if the Republican Party wants to stay trumpish. I don’t think trump will run and desantis seems to be heir apparent. Maybe with a Trump family member as vp.
It is not clear to me if the Republican Party does a reset and chooses someone more moderate like Halley or another popular govenor. It’s a long way until 2024.

Honestly I think if Trump ran again they would pull out all the stops. They know what to expect from him in the big chair. I absolutely think they would cheat harder to stop Trump from getting back in. They know full well they can’t control him.

I'm not a Democrat but "no thanks" to Desantis as POTUS candidate because I see a pattern of him being more interested in culture wars than anything else.

This is the person who just tried to stop private businesses from deciding to follow CDC guidelines when screening people entering their facilities (i.e. the Norwegian Cruise fiasco), costing Florida jobs and risking public health because he wants to appease a certain audience.

If he's not doing this, he's meddling in school districts' curriculum telling them what they can and cannot teach, when it comes to social/historic issues related to minorities.

Those are just a couple examples and if DeSantis were POTUS, I'm concerned that his top priority would be to appeal to his audience more than actually helping the country.

Sounds like Trump. Good. We need another heel to run against.
