It’s plain as day that the Biden administration is a failure and needs to go.

However I’m torn. Should Trump or Ron DeSantis be the next President? I’m inclined to support Trump again, but perhaps DeSantis has more crossover appeal.

Who would you rather have?

Given the choice I'd pick DeSantis. Don't get me wrong the left will tear him apart too... they'll rip any republican no matter how nice he acts just for governing like a republican, I just don't know if Trump can get re-elected. I know enough of these "surburban moderates" that voted for Biden because they were butthurt that Trump was a troll. I don't think they'd vote for Trump. Plus Trump was a big spender. He didn't campaign as one. Though he was an alright president, I don't support the continuing pumping up of the everything bubble and stock market cheerleading, which Trump did. At least he kept the refugees and illegals out.

I understand but I do wonder if those people won’t be brainwashed by the media into thinking DeSantis is as horrible as Trump supposedly was.

Many are already furious with him and Sheriff Judd for warning potential thugs of the anti riot bill and that they need to behave when coming from Dem cities.

It's up to Trump. He completely owns the Republican Party.

I was thinking today to start the exact same poll. We're on the same wavelength. I'm on the fence also. I like either. I want to show loyalty to Trump and liked what he did, but I also like Desantis very much too.

I would be ok with one being President and the other being the VP. How about that?

Desantis reminds me a lot of Trump. He stands up for what he believes and doesn't put up with crap. I like that. We need a strong non-puppet confident president again that can get this country back on track. MAGA!

While I'd prefer to keep DeSantis as governor for another term, if he were to run for POTUS it would be the first time in three decades that I voted for a major party at the top of the ticket. Although Trump was not the train wreck that the Dems would like to portray him as, he also was not the great president that some claim he was. He was better than Hillary would have been, and so far he was better than Biden is showing himself to be, but I'd prefer he not get back in the White House.

Trump may still excite the base but he's much too toxic for a general election contest. He's better off working the party as kingmaker / power broker.

DeSantis has Trump's fighting spirit which the GOP nominee certainly needs but he's much more intelligent about it and can actually articulate positions coherently.

While I voted for Trump both times and I respect him and love what he accomplished, I’m not sure he would be a guaranteed win in 24. We saw what the MSM did to him this round, if he runs again they will redouble their smear campaign. I think Desantis has a much better chance of actually winning. The bleeding heart never Trumpers wouldn’t be able to rail Desantis as hard.

I’ve also really liked what Desantis has been doing with Florida. I would vote for him for sure if he makes a run at it in 24. Maybe with Ivanka as his VP pick.

I like both people. Ron DeSantis has a better manner compared to Trump but I think if DeSantis runs in 2024 he will get the same treatment that Trump got. The Dems will dig up dirt (even if it's not based on facts) just to get rid of him. He would be another threat just like Trump was.
