More Dead Bodies are showing up around the Hotels where Transients, drug dealers and the Homeless hang out
The other day the Phoenix Police let a dead body rot in the Sun for 4 hours uncovered in the bushes in 115-degree heat while waiting for the Coroner. The Desk Clerk says "oh this happens all the time "
Shootings every day as people's brains slowly atrophy. I have never seen a City as Crazy as Phoenix and cavalier about human life as Phoenix.

Come to San Francisco or up to Portland and Seattle. That's nothin. Pretty sure they can't touch the body until it's investigated.

My thoughts:
- Phoenix has less homeless and people overdosing than where I'm currently visiting family (Seattle)
- Phoenix has a lowish murder rate for a large city multiple times lower than really high crime cities
- It's hot in Phoenix in the summer, best keep hydrated and have a plan to keep from getting heat exposure
P.S. Global warming means that it's going to get worse over time (unless it doesn't)
Homeless in Phoenix? Where you can cook to death on the sidewalk?
A lot leave for the summer, but a lot don't.
And I've yet to see the good father that lost his job and home and is trying to get back on his feet.
Sadly, seems these folks are ALL mentally ill and use extreme caution around them. Many are completely unpredictable, potentially violent and thus, dangerous.
I started a thread last year in the Phoenix forum about the homeless and potential violence (unfortunately I'm around them near my home and at other places), it was attacked by bleeding hearts and shut down. The conversation was not allowed to happen.

Homelessness is a nation wide problem. There are those in certain political spectrum who convinced themselves it's only happening in Democratic area, it's not.
It's a combination of poor mental health care, our drug problem, federal government cutting affordable housing, the cities becoming more unaffordable, and a general lack of services for people who need help.
I recently encountered someone who is probably days away from homelessness. She's mentally ill, her family cut her off, she has no money, no job, and is squatting in a motel in a sketchy area unable to pay and buying time until she is thrown out. Aside from the homeless shelter, there is no government program that can help her get a roof over her head without waiting an exorbitant amount of time. If she goes to a shelter, she risks being attacked, raped, and/or her stuff stolen; and it's assuming there is a spot for her there.

This is just sad.
