Ambush attacks on law enforcement officers nationwide are up 91% year to date compared to 2020, a police group said Thursday.
The National Fraternal Order of Police found that 51 law enforcement officers were shot, 13 of whom died, in 40 ambush-style attacks as of June 30, a 91% jump from the same time last year. In all of 2020, there were 48 ambush-style attacks, which left 60 officers wounded, 12 fatally, according to the group’s 2020 summary.
Meanwhile, 150 officers were shot as of Wednesday night and 28 have been killed by gunfire so far this year, the FOP’s statistics found.
Sadly it is not surprising. The Left and their media has made cops into the enemy of minorities that thanks to the propaganda headlines think that all cops are racists with an itchy trigger finger.
When a punk has no fear about attacking a Police Officer he will think nothing about attacking an innocent citizen.
There has to be stiff repercussions when a cop is attacked or shot or the criminals will become even more emboldened with their crimes. They will think themselves above the law. Sadly any crack down on would be cop killers will have to wait until 2024 when we might get a new President that respects our Police and is tough on crime.

I will wait for the typical liberal response. That's what they signed up for or the other one is there are many jobs more dangerous than a cop. My response is tell me about being ambushed while you are working.
2020 was an anomaly on many fronts. What do the historical stats look like for 2019, 2018, etc?
Correlation is not causation.
