No problem with it. It is important work, it is a noble calling. Those people deserve our gratitude for putting themselves out there on our behalf.
Welcome them with a smile and thank them for their service.
How noble. Just understand that no matter what you do when they arrive, you are at risk for contracting COVID and dying, no matter what "mitigation" measures you take.

With our "No Soliciting" sign and our city's door-to-door laws, we do not answer the door unless we recognize the person or they have an appointment scheduled. So it actually wouldn't matter. If I happened to be in the front yard when they approached me, I would simply say that it's none of their business and go about my work. I am vaccinated, but it's still optional and I resent our tax money being spent on something useless like this. They are not going to convince the anti-vaxer tinfoil hat people, and the rest of us have already been vaccinated (our city is at 86%).
I will treat them the same as I do the census people !
Not exactly a good comparison. The census is mandated by the Constitution so I feel like if you reside in America you are sort of agreeing to that since you are subject to the law.
I suspect any government official coming to "discuss" things will be met with a Glock in a significant number of encounters
I don’t see any reason to show any force, a simple thank you for your concern and I will give it the consideration it deserves and shut the door.
