Voting laws were relaxed and ignored. Mail-in voting ballots were sent to millions of people who no longer lived where the ballot was sent. Big tech and news media went all-in repressing anything that made Biden look bad and massively exaggerating everything that made Trump look bad. The obvious fact was that 2020 was a game where whoever was the best cheater would win. The Democrats cheated in every conceivable way. They won. Simple as that.
Exactly. Good post.

I will select non-swing states at random and compare the 2016 to 2020 results.

The 2016 result is always first and 2020 second.

Alaska Trump +47K, Trump +36K

Indiana Trump +524K, Trump +487

Iowa Trump +147K, Trump +138K

Massachusetts +904K Hillary, Biden +1,215K

Minnesota +45K Hillary, Biden +233K

Mississippi Trump +215K, Trump +216K

Missouri Trump +523K, +465K Trump

Montana Trump +102K, Trump +99K

Nebraska Trump +211K, Trump +182K

New Jersey Hillary +546K, Biden +725K

North Dakota +123K Trump, +121K Trump

Oregon Hillary +220K, Biden 382K

Tennessee Trump +653K, +709K Trump

Texas Trump +798K, Trump +631K

West Virginia +301K Trump, +209K Trump

I chose 15 states at random. Biden outperformed Hillary in 13 of the 15 states. The 2 states that Trump outperformed in 2020 in were by small margins. Biden tended to outperform Hillary by large margins.

Surely it is possible some cheating occurred both ways, but the overwhelming trend of the 2020 election was that Trump made many people angry who showed up and gave Biden a bigger performance than Hillary had in the clear majority of states.

What caused biden to win is simply migration. In Arizona plenty of Californians who are democrats changed and flipped the state. And in Georgia the reverse great migration of millions of African Americans who moved to Atlanta also flipped Georgia blue. If Arizona and Georgia would have won trump would still be president.

Wise Wino, I think you are on to something here.

"There's just something shady about her," they'd say. They couldn't put their finger on it, but they were pretty sure all Clinton's good works advocating for health insurance, early education for children, ... was all just a front for the global criminal enterprise she was operating. They were a little vague about the details of Benghazi, and those WikiLeaks emails, and her foundation, but overall impression there was just something shady about her.

Lot of voters just stayed home.

They showed up in 2020.

If you want to get granular, the swing demographic was white men with college degrees, especially ages 25-49. Trump collapsed among that group; it was the biggest swing of any group compared to 2016.

...
What changed their minds?

The press being 95% pro Biden had an effect. Too hard to tell how much tho.

That also^^^^

I dont like Biden but Hillary is a whole special level of actual textbook evil.

The only good thing about Biden/ Harris is Hillary has to watch Harris become the first female president in a few years.

Thousands of unfolded "mail-in" ballots were counted freshly delivered in the dark of the night.

That's the REAL insurrection!!!

Even if there was fraud he still won the election because he was sworn in as president. It's over. Even if the audits find fraud, even if they find enough fraud to overturn the election, the election will not be overturned. It is a fait accompli. Any knowledge gleamed from the audits must be used to prevent future election fraud if it is to have any value.

I think it will take the possibility of a non establishment GOP candidate benefiting from the current system to lead to any real changes that increase election integrity though. Any changes we make now, at least at the national level, will only serve to erode integrity further to the benefit of the establishment.

Trump has surprisingly not been as popular in Arizona. Is that to due to migration, I'm sure some is. But I think some of it was him attacking Sen. John McCain. For months prior to Biden announcing candidacy, he did beat Trump in polls, even Mayor Pete did.

Biden won because the media spent 4+ year promoting negativity about Trump. People voted against Trump so Biden won.
