I don’t care for DeBlasio but polls show that 45% of Republicans favor a vaccine mandate.
Not getting vaccinated makes it easier for the virus to spread. When other people make choices that put me at risk, I am not thrilled about that. I’d prefer that we let the private sector mandate vaccines for people’s own businesses; that is better than government doing it.
Why are vaccinated people willing to give up their freedom?
Do you not understand that it won't stop with COVID?

Bingo ! Fools who say this is "survivable" need only look at the rising number of deaths attributed (Either directly or due to complications) from Covid. When the benefits outweigh the risks, getting the vaccine should be a no-brainer for the public health.
And you’ll feel the same should the government decide something about you or your children is a risk to their idea of good order? I’m sure the citizens of Germany in the late 1930s appreciated the new leader doing something about the Jewish Problem.
A vaccine mandate is not racist or genocidal. Try again.
If you think freedom means you have no duties to society, think again.
Rights are not absolute and never were.
In times of war young men can be conscripted into the armed forces.
We are at war right now. The enemy is a virus.
The most basic freedom is ownership of our own bodies. The government doesn’t get to decide that we must be injected with a pharmaceutical product just to live in society.
A free country is free for everyone, not just a select group.
It is simply not possible for this country to be free for everyone if freedom means no restrictions at all. Your freedom ends where your actions hurt others.

Survival of the fittest.
If you want to get a vaccine, go ahead and be my guest. You're "safe" -- unless the government is lying.
If you don't want to get the vaccine, and you die - well, that's the risk you took.
I got the damn shots, but enough is enough. Let the chips fall where they may.
So, Then they should FORCE THE FLU SHOT. Since It's contagious and kills folks. Right?
During a pandemic with 600,000 people dying? Yes, they could. I'm not saying they should, but it would be legal and constitutional, if it came to that.

Problem is, 3% of Americans are immune compromised and cannot mount an adequate response. So you have two options. Option A is that you think they should be protected, which is done most effectively by others getting vaccinated. Option B is that you think they should also be included in "survival of the fittest". But then it starts to sound like eugenics.
