Cry me a river. I am sick of the US importing millions of refugees from all the countries we have been at war with. Most of them would have ended up impoverished ghetto dwellers here in the US and their kids would have been gang bangers and terrorists. The Taliban is right: their doctors end up as dishwashers here. They have better prospects in their own country, with their own culture, and their English language skills.
According to the WSJ, the evacuation of the interpreters was hampered by:
1. Slow bureaucratic process not designed for the chaotic nature of the situation
2. Terrorist threat
3. Limiting number of checkpoints to airport
4. Taliban checkpoints slowing process
5. Threat of rapid and widespread fraud of any issuance of the clearance papers
Biden’s administration have stated they will continue working to get those left behind out. How?

I saw an interview with an Afghan interpreter who lives in Houston saying her family in Afghanistan got a letter posted on the door from the Taliban saying they were to come to their office and to make this woman return home to go to the Taliban. They even threatened her and others here saying they would get to them here. Sounds like her family will not make it, and probably cannot expect help from our government.
Or that due to the speed of the Taliban's takeover. The people could not reach the Kabel airport.
Ultimately, Trump shooting off his mouth and giving the Taliban the opportunity to walk in. When whole parts of Afghan Military were allowed to just dissolve due to Trump's negotiation.

Not all immigrants are the same.
Some potential immigrants did the US a big ****ing favor in Afghanistan by working as interpreters.
We owe those potential immigrants safe passage to somewhere where the Taliban won't round them up, torture and kill them, perhaps the US.
Other potential immigrants, the sort that enter the country illegally, are not owed a debt of gratitude because they didn't help us, have no in-demand skills and are only here to sponge off our bloated welfare system.
The Taliban would consider them traitors or infidels and kill them in horrible ways. How many of you remember when the Taliban hanged a 9-year old boy in the street for getting trash out of the dumpster at the U.S. military installation back when Obama first started the Afghanistan surge? The Taliban said the boy was passing messages to the military and vice versa. It was pure evil.

Many of Trump's policies were positive - he was, and still is, not the most personable person in the world. But he got things done. Now Biden has totally undone all the good things that Trump started (but he still hung on to the May 1 Afghanistan pullout to use as an excuse).
Biden has done absolutely nothing positive for the country.

The WSJ is reporting that a senior State Department official is stating that the majority of our Afghan interpreters eligible to get out and that wanted out did not get out.
Maybe if Trump had processed those 17,000 SIV applications, some of them would be out by now.
