Yeah, Orange Man was bad, but this senile, rich, very old, white guy takes the lack of safety & security to a whole new level. Be very afraid, & aware of what lurks, because nobody has your back right now.
I am not more worried about a terrorist attack because I don't live in a large city and nothing of significance to attack here and I don't fly or take public transportation, I am more fearful for our country with that moron in the white house who thinks he is a king and can do whatever he wants to the American people.
Trump campaigned in 2016 on the promise to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan.
The Trump Admin negotiated troop withdrawal with the Taliban in 2019-2020. Trump intended to host the Taliban at Camp David on 9/11/2019. That secret meeting was cancelled when the Taliban blew up some stuff and killed 12 people. Trump disclosed this in a tweet. While the meeting was cancelled, it did not prevent direct negotiations with the Taliban.
The Trump Admin executed an agreement with the Taliban on 2/29/2020 to withdraw all troops by 5/1/2021 and to facilitate the release of 5000 Taliban fighters from Afghan prisons. It twisted the arm of its puppet Afghan president who released 5000 Taliban fighters in 2020.
By the time Trump left office only 2500 US troops remained, despite the Taliban had not lived up to their end of the deal.
Trump’s resolve to end the war in Afghanistan was matched by Biden’s will to do the same.
20 years, $Trillions spent and thousands of US lives lost was enough.
The US military industrial complex is not pleased and depends on perpetual invasions and wars.
I did not expect all the things that Trump caused to improve in 8 months. I feel better knowing that we have a president who is committed to solving problems rather than exploiting hate and promoting himself while ignoring them. Time will tell how things look near the end of Biden's first term. I think it will be much rosier than it was on 9/11/20.

Biden set right away to undo many of the things that Trump did to make us safer.
