More active Covid cases reported in the U.S. today than back in January. The line remains in an upward trend, however this could well be due to increased awareness, and testing.
Deaths are also on the uptick. According to the seven-day moving averages, we are about where we were in April, 2020, and November 2020. However, it may be leveling off.
Perhaps the pool of unvaccinated individuals, who are statistically far more likely to experience significant symptoms, is shrinking.
Look at the graph of cases per day, see that now pronounced downtrend? The active case graph doesn't work for the U.S. We don't keep nearly as tight a track of people who test positive as other countries so many cases get reported as active, but never as inactive.
On a normal day in the US, nearly 8,000 people die. That’s each and every day, 365 days per year.
So my question is did these people die from Covid or with Covid? Would they have died anyway? Perhaps Covid got them first before heart disease was about to claim them 2 months from now?
The nonsense has to stop. Masks don’t work, lockdowns don’t work. Vaccines might work, but they absolutely shouldn’t be mandatory. You can’t stop a virus, you are going to get it. 99% of the people are healthy enough to shrug it off with no symptoms or a mild cough. For 1% of the people who already have co morbidities, it’s serious. Nothing can be done about it. You either get exposed to Covid, or lock yourself away from the world and get groceries delivered and live like a recluse. Up to you.
You’ve always had the option to live like a recluse though.
So you don't believe in the state reporting systems for Covid deaths? Vaccines might work?
These are people that if not for Covid would other be alive, same reporting for other disease fatalities. There are around 30 million people alone that have diabetes, add in cancer and other respiratory issues so no 99% of the people are not healthy. Vaccines do work although not perfectly, ask the unvaccinated that are showing up in ICU's at a rate of over 90%. Probably a waste of time explaining to someone who states "vaccines might work".
Best way to solve this is vaccinate, period.
It doesn't take 1% of the nation to overwhelm to health care system, just a fraction of a percent can push hospitals to the point of making life ending decisions.
We probably will have another wave soon in the northern states just like last fall and winter. The southern states had their wave over the summer, this summer and last summer to. There are predictable patterns to covid waves.
This [thread] is panic porn combined with speculation. No science or data to suggest this will happen. It's media rumination intended to keep you paying attention. Which is another way of saying complete crap.
Conflicting information and lies. I live in a very blue state and I hardly ever see a mask anymore in public and people are not the slightest bit inhibited by the corona threat.
My retirement job is at a public zoo and the percentage of masked visitors has been climbing steadily in the last few weeks. I`m also seeing more people wearing them in stores where they`re not required to.
