You have to admit it does make us look a little shallow when we complain about shortages of very particular food items and brands if in general the store has lots of food. Additionally thank god for purchase limits or crazy people would force us into artificial shortages again because of their destructive selfish hoarding behavior.

The shortage of particular items is just one symptom of the problem which is supply shortages and rising prices. For OhioGirl81 she doesn't get her hummus, for a poor family it means not enough money to put up the heat at night or buy a winter coat for their kids because what little paycheck they had is being consumed by rising prices on food and transportation
Nice deflection, sounds about right - that's all progressives have left
Try not to take yourself so seriously.

Exactly.

Your stretch in logic is baffling at best, nevermind your inability to process satire.
This thread is long and I'm sorry if I missed anything or forgot who said what.
I do not see empty shelves in any of the supermarkets I go to. I have 4 that I switch to. The only time I ever say empty and I mean empty shelves was when covid first hit the TV news and years before when a snow storm/blizzard was coming. I nearly went crazy trying to get cat food even from the veterinary hospitals this year and last year.
But now I don't see a huge empty supermarket shelves. Maybe a few items I don't buy and like everyone else here the prices are outrageous!! I swear everything doubled in price.
I see the same empty shelves pictures on the TV when they say the shelves are empty but they are old pictures from months ago. I see no big shortage so far and thankfully.
Maybe the shelves are full because no one can afford what's on them? Not better.

Lucky for you they had garlic hummus and that is a viable alternative. Quite a few people are experiencing a prescription drug shortage right now. Those aren't as easily substituted.

Interestingly enough -- most of the items with purchase limits were stocked full on the shelf -- LOL>
Um. Because of the purchase limits maybe?
All it takes is a couple jackasses to come wipe out the whole toilet paper section.
