Now we’re going to argue semantics? The point was to stop the vote certification as directed by Trump, smashing windows and assaulting officers, call it whatever you want. Luckily they went back in and finished the process. Last thing we need is a candidate running again who claimed the election was stolen and supported this action.

I honestly think they actually believe their narrative. As in, if you gave them a polygraph or had criminal psychologists interview them they would actually believe this was just a quiet peaceful protest.

Well, if it was compared to the leftist "summer of Love", burning buildings, trying to quickrete police in their own build and burn it down, making several autonomous zone.....etc
So, yea, they probably would think is was a peaceful protest considering the above. Anyone that thinks the above is considered mostly peaceful, would by far be considered in a cult than over what happened JAN 6th.
