The New York Times considers Asians to be white whenever it's harmful to whites to do so.
Source? I've never seen this.
In fact, the NYT seems to be gloating about Boston's new Chinese American mayor, Michelle Wu, as a sign of "progress" and "minority representation" which is the exact opposite of what they'd celebrate if she were White American.
Whenever I fill out demographic information, “Hispanic” is not listed as a race. I have to select “white,” then answer “yes” to the question: “Are you of Hispanic/Latino origin?”
Italians, Jews, Greeks, and even Irish in some cases didn’t used to be considered white. Will Hispanics/Latinos eventually just become considered as whites, especially as many assimilate into American culture? Some Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Rican’s, etc. are whiter looking than Italians for example.
Impossible, as Democrats must create division, and their go to tool is divide Americans by race.
Canada calls non whites; “visual minorities”. Makes sense, until whites are no longer a majority.
The Hispanic label was created as a way to indirectly indicate that people from Latin America by and large where not white while not acknowledging their mixed heritage.
I certainly do not consider Asians and around 90% of Hispanics to be white, in this country. Probably another 25% are close. Middle Easterners are about the same proportion.
