It used to be pretty much down by downtown. Man, has it gotten worse. Maybe they need to import different cultures and races. That should fix it, diversity you know.
Hmm gun totters some may reply. I own - but just saying - that’s how many will see it. Poor kids. I have 3 grands in school. It’s terrifying anymore.
I am not very familiar with that particular area as I lived in southwest metro Denver (for about 30 years) and the shootings were in northeast metro Denver, but in looking at the map, it is not too far from "East Colfax", which had been synonymous with "the bad part of Denver" to many people for years, although a large part of downtown Denver was also very bad and getting worse in the past few years before we moved out of state last summer.
In short, violence in metro Denver is not a new thing at all.

I never knew that. I guess I just listened to John Denver sing "Rocky Mountain High" too many times as a kid, and just thought it was like the far northern parts of MI , peaceful and beautiful.
