The accused driver who went through the Christmas parade was released on an incredibly low bail considering his long criminal history and violent past. This isn’t the first time a known criminal was released by a judge and or DA going soft on criminals resulting in the released criminal committing violent acts. Should the judge and DA involved in such cases be held liable?
The judge should face a judicial review and the review decides if the judge was unreasonable in his or her actions with the case. The DA and prosecutor should also face such a review. If found their behavior went against state laws and what is a normal or reasonable bail or release ruling then those judges and attorneys should be held liable by the victim or the victim’s families.

...good luck with that, who exactly are you going to have do this 'review'?...as far as the 'bar association' goes, i'll differ to Mr Carlin, "It's a big club and you ain't in it"...
...the way to go after these miscreants in the business of law is, as everything else, hit them in the pocket book...
...if ever you find yourself tangled with the courts, know you have this tool...
....all judges and practicing attorneys are bonded, they cannot play in the sandbox if they're not...a judicial grievance or a bar grievance filed will get you a pithy response from the bar assoc. and nothing will be done, however the bonded judge or lawyer, by law, needs to inform their insurance company of the grievance filed...guess what happens when a lawyer/judge get's two, three maybe more bar grievances...their insurance company makes a phone call....wtf is this guy doing to generate these grievances because they have the insight to see maybe a law suit is coming down the pipe...at the very least they will take a close look at this lawyer/judge and maybe realize insuring this guy is gonna get expensive, maybe they cancel his insurance, maybe they raise his premiums...either way the only way i have figured out to hold these people accountable is to hit them in the wallet...it's always about the money, always has been...

Yes-
Time to put justice back in the justice system and remove the corrupt trial lawyers association, which is geared to protect criminals at the expense of citizens.
We had a guy in my state who had rape charges with explicit video evidence, but the guy was out on NO BAIL. He ended up killing someone and spent over a year on the lamb. No one held the local judge or prosecutor accountable.
No. You want to have even worse people in these positions? Threaten them with personal liability for every case in which there is not an optimal outcome.
The Waukesha killings were horrible and I understand people looking around for folks to blame. And maybe they even do deserve some blame. But if thinking through the unintended consequences, we'll all be worse off. Who would want take one of these positions with that sort of potential consequence? To be good at either you need some discretion - the only other alternative would to be an unreasonable hard a** every single time, and that isn't what we need either. 19 year old boy slept with his 17 year old girlfriend? Throw the book at him (etc.)
Yes there should be some sort of accountability, but liability for this criminal's actions is not the right approach.
They should be put behind bars for a long time. At some point it needs to be made clear that incompetence in positions of power will not be tolerated and will be severely punished.
