NATO surrounds half of the Black Sea.

The Latvian, Estonian border with Russia is about half the length of the Ukranian, Russian border.

Enough already.
The "Kiev junta" and neo Nazis are all over Donbass already ( and other parts of South-eastern Ukraine).
They are not allowed to enter only the small part of Donbass - namely the territory of LDNR that Putin is using as pawns.

Indeed, Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear that NATO expansion in Ukraine would cross a "red line." Crossing that red line risks a sudden Russian attack on Ukraine which has the potential to escalate out of control.(c)

Baltic countries don't represent any particular geopolitical interest for Russia from strategic point of view, as long as it has the Kaliningrad.
But Crimea is essential for Russia's vital geopolitical interests.
The NATO/US are perfectly aware of it and keep on pushing the dumb Ukrainians for actions, while using them on many fronts.
So yes, it's all about the US/NATO covert aggression directed at Russia, leading to war which will have no winners.

Why do you charge the idea of my words? When I say Donbass, I am talking about two Donbass republics, LNR and DNR. Not about the whole region. And you clearly understand this. And yes, Kievan puppet regime can not take over these republics because Putin doesn't allow it.

The Russians have found multiple ways to win with a weaker hand, and that's the bottom line.
Why do you think Putin needs it now?
He may take a few Russian-populated areas, that's all.

The Western plan was to destroy the economy of the Ukraine, so nobody would need it.

It'll be the same as Afghanistan after the NATO occupation. If could've been a successful country with educated people. Now its economy is destroyed, it needs hundreds of billions to redevelop, most educated people have fled.

US experts say Russia is planning a further incursion into Ukraine. The Ukrainian government has not stayed true to the Minsk agreement and has deepened ties with NATO.

This is a red line for the Russians, and since diplomacy has failed to garner results that have upped the ante.

Now let me ask you this: if China built up a military presence on our border with Mexico, do you think any leader in Washington would find that acceptable?

1. back up a second and look at things through a logical non-biased set of eyes

2. Ukraine borders Russia

3. Ukraine was part of the USSR, and its population is about 20% Russian

4. Chimera was part of the USSR and its population is 95% Russian

5. your example is way off on any type of geography ..
…you would be better off saying if the Mexican Army was built up on the border of its former territory of California (or Texas) would we find that acceptable.... (we had a war about that)
