Trump is the last person to be preaching to American Jews and he has pandered to the Christian Right for political reasons only, you can't say he is an example of what they think they represent..
But Trump aside the Israeli government is a secular body and not above reproach in their actions especially in the last decade. A person can dislike the government and still respect the countries right to exist, that's 2 different things.
Bingo. I'm sure there's a number of U.S. posters in this thread (on both sides of the aisle) that don't like certain actions the U.S. Government has taken over the years (again, on both sides of the aisle), but that doesn't mean they're anti-American. Just anti-certain-American-policies.

Oh and FYI what is racist or bigoted about his statement? And for that matter is it incorrect? Every Evangelical I know has a almost fanatical view of Jews, and especially Israel, as the chosen people of God. Meanwhile as many have posted here American Jews have largely supported the Democratic Party which has a long history of supporting the enemies of Israel.

Trump is easily the most pro-Jew President in our history. I actually believe that the left are anti-semites and white supremesists.
I can also go through the rabbit hole of Biblical versus of Trump and Cyrus in Bible that mathematically tie out but dont think if you dont have faith, a basic understanding of theology it would be a fruitless venture.

A lot of Christians only support Israel because if Israel falls apart so does their eschatology. Others do so because of political alliances.
The Israelis themselves are mostly non religious. They have state sponsored abortion there. All kinds of things for an American evangelical not to like.
