Of course they knew that cloth masks don't do much, if anything. It's like trying to put up a chain link fence to keep the water out.

Filter media and masks all have micron ratings that indicate the size and level of what they can protect and or clean to. The cloth masks are basically theater really.

So, cheap political theater is better than pricey yet still problematic protection?

If it has an exhalation valve, it only protects the wearer.

A lot of people spitting on you on a daily basis are they?

A cloth mask might help reduce the viral load if someone sneezes, spits or coughs directly at you.

But even that's a long shot.

Besides, when you get down to the micron sizes that Covid is, liquid vs gas starts to become kind of irrelevant.

Lots of droplets get expelled just talking to one another. 10,000 droplets/minute.

The people that complain that they can't breathe in even a cloth mask because it cuts off their oxygen or won't expel carbon dioxide yet say that they won't stop viruses are the most confused. Oxygen and CO2 are much, much smaller than a virus.

I am against the mandate. But others who are also against the mandate have a problem with me wearing a mask. They say they don't care. But they keep saying it. That makes me think my mask does somehow bother them.

It bothers me. I don't like being around brainwashed sheep, which is what 100% of the people wearing cloth masks are.

Really look at people with masks on next time you go out.

Does a surgeon rub his nose, yank down the mask and then yank it back up ? Does a surgeon reuse the same mask all day long and take it off between surgeries ?

Well you go watch what people are doing....2 years later.

People do not know how to wear a mask properly in order to offer healthy protection...not like the medical community who do wear masks all the time.
