There's a good reason why I relocated from California to Florida.
No one forces me to wear a mask or get a vaccine that I don't need.
The roads are actually in better shape here in Florida -- for all of the tax dollars CA siphons from its residents, you'd think they'd be able to have decent roads, especially in Los Angeles, its main city.
Florida has less homeless, less poverty, and slightly better drivers especially when it rains.
I'm very impressed by the Tampa metro on the FL gulf coast. Sarasota, Venice, Naples are all extremely nice, with much nicer beaches than any in southern California.

But we are barely into our new surge now. Why would the past 7 days be more indicative of reality than how DeSantis handled the ENTIRE pandemic in comparison with how other states handled the ENTIRE pandemic? Wasn't he governor all along? Didn't he have access to the same information everyone else did? Anyone can cherry pick a random week, LOL. Will voters decide if he was a success based on one particular week or on the pandemic as a whole?
This is why I am wary of putting all our populist eggs in to one DeSantis basket. Dude better have a squeaky clean past. You've seen how they're going after Trump legally. I'm not talking about the January 6th nonsense. Take a look at how the state of New York is going after him. DeSantis or anyone else trying to take Trump's mantle will have to go through that same sort of scrutiny. DeSantis is great but we need a deep bench so when they knock one down another one pops up.
You can be squeaky clean, it matters not, the CPUSA will go after you for make believe charges. As in TWO attempts to impeach Trump for nothing at all. These people are Stalinists. Why should I debate my enemies when I can destroy them? That's how they roll.
