Yep. Some people prefer to ignore facts. Pity.

DeSantis or anyone else trying to take Trump's mantle will have to go through that same sort of scrutiny. DeSantis is great but we need a deep bench so when they knock one down another one pops up.
Why does a GOP needs to have a squeaky clean past but someone like a Biden with so many shady dealings and unsavory history including that of his son, is fine?

Yes, that is a rhetorical question because I know the answer: double standard because the Left and their media friends are biased and create that double standard.

If the choice came down to Trump or DeSantis, I would pick the latter. At least DeSantis seems more stable. As for choosing between DeSantis and a Democrat, well it depends on the candidate. I do have some concerns now about DeSantis, but Presidential elections now come seem to come down to a choice between two less-than-favorable picks. I'm under no illusion that most support moderate positions.

That's for the past 7 days. Try again and look at "all time" and you'll see it's at 291/100K. We're in 13th place.

The 2024 election is still to early to predict. However... the more interesting question is who do the dems think can defeat a hypothetical race with Governor DeSantis as the repub nominee?

Governor DeSantis has a very impressive resume and his personal story is quite compelling. The left hates it when he calls them out on a regular basis and we watch them eating crow, all the time. I have to say... it does make me laugh. The covid story has yet to play out, we've got a ways to go, but make no mistake about it ... Florida is open, our children are in school, the economy is booming, and the fishing is great. I thought we should all be dead by now?

Forgot to mention... for the first time in Florida's history, there are more registered republicans then dems. Hmmmm.... go figure.

Not if a bunch of overnight, new-found, mail-in ballots that just happens to all go Democrat surfaces each time the Democrat falls behind in the count shows up.

It’s quite an interesting phenomenon.
