Are you telling us that if DeSantis doesn't run in 2024, that the Democrats will not come out in full force??
Baloney. The Democrats are on the ropes, facing losses greater than what they got in 1994, and will "come out in full force" against whoever runs for the Republican ticket.
Trump's long campaign to point out how biased and disingenuous their allies in the media are, is bearing fruit as fewer and fewer people are realizing that the Democrats never deliver what they promise and keep up an agenda that just doesn't work.
And Democrat have no more defense against it now, than they did in 2016-2020... because it's as true now as it was then.

You are right, the Dems are on the ropes right now and we still have 3 more years of this circus. The question is what will the Dems do between now and then to ensure they can push mass mail in voting which is ripe for fraud? It is not looking good for them in 2022 so handing a vote to the estimated 22 million illegal aliens has a slim chance even if another variant of the covid pops up.

The running average for Florida deaths....right now....is 0.09 per 100,000.....48 states are higher....Florida has the second lowest death rate in the entire country
Again, why would you think one day in a two-year pandemic is indicative of anything? Great, we are not several weeks into a surge right now. Obviously the numbers are going to be low. People aren't going to forget all of their parents and grandparents who died over the summer/fall just because the virus ebbed in January.
I mean, we could pick any arbitrary point in time for each state and say it was doing amazing or horrible. You have to look at the whole picture.
That's your opinion. First, you don't know what goes on in another person's mind, so you're just guessing that DeSantis puts himself first and the interests of the people second. So many disagree with you and they're flocking to FL because of it.
Second, FL has the highest population of people over 65 in the nation which stands to reason that Covid deaths would be increased.
Third, DeSantis was out there protecting civil rights and speaking out against the draconian authoritarian mob rule of mandates that don't work.
Your governor mandated and ruled CA population, and insulted them all by not following his own rules. He's a hypocrite.

We have about another 1-1/2 years to go before the pandemic is endemic. Don't count your chickens yet.
Once this whole 'thing' is over and we start counting the other people who died as result of the shut downs, from the economy, government over reach... the children mentally affected, the social ills born from isolation, the businesses that ended ... it will be revealed how short sighted blue state panic was.

Might, could, maybe, etc…, doesn’t mean anything, and Florida weather hasn’t changed. Many have full confidence in him winning since he’s a wonderful Governor and helps make Florida a great and refreshing place to live, especially compared to the shut it down folks and Governors.

A native Floridian with blue-collar roots, Ron DeSantis worked his way through Yale University, where he graduated with honors and was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer. He was first elected to Congress in 2012, as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s Sixth District, where he fought for term limits, the No Budget/No Pay Act, and to cut taxes. While serving in Congress, he refused his Congressional pension and health insurance plan because he is against special deals for politicians. He also sponsored legislation to make it easier for the military to prosecute sexual assault and authored the bill to end the secret taxpayer-funded slush fund for members of Congress to make hush payoffs for sexual harassment.
Governor DeSantis is married to Casey DeSantis, an Emmy Award-winning television host. Together, they are the proud parents of their daughter, Madison, and their son, Mason.

When we have the FBI seeking to silence parents when they express concern over the teaching of marxist CRT in our schools, we have a HUGE problem with big government.
I think Ron is playing the smart game by running and campaigning for reelection for Governor of Florida in the November elections, while the drama over Trump plays out on the national stage. Let Georgia and other states take the heat for pro-Trump candidates that the liberals will be targeting.
DeSantis cruises for an easy win and then take stock on what 2024 looks like. He'll make his move IF he think it's time. The man's only 43 - he's got time on his side.
But I tell you this - I cannot WAIT for this man to be President of the United States someday. He'll rock this country back to greatness so fast that the liberal's heads will be a-spinning.
In the meantime, I'll watch DeSantis serve as the most awesome governor of the most awesome state.

I think he might wait because of his wife's cancer. I really hope she is ok. Because she is young, they maybe just treating her really aggressively...or...because she is young, she might have a more aggressive cancer. They are very private about it which is their right.
