What it has to do with race is it shows a pattern of very good, successful black coaches not being hired over the years. Many of those who had numerous interviews and never hired, being supplanted by white coaches of lesser experience and success shows a pattern. I agree with Toney Dungy, this thing is going to have lasting repercussions, regardless of what happens to Brian Flores, this is going to make major changes to the sport. 'Something has to change': Tony Dungy says NFL discrimination lawsuit could be 'tip of iceberg' https://www.indystar.com/story/sport...it/9315766002/
Flores was hired with lesser experience than many white candidates and many black candidates. he wasn't crying about it then.
This proves you have no idea what you're talking about, he was very successful in Miami, he was fired for not being corrupt and following the owners illegal wishes. It is a very real possibility that before this is over, The owner Ross is going to be forced to sell the team. That will grab a few peoples attention.
Agreed. He was fired for not getting in line with his corrupt owner not for racism. The owner should be forced to sell the team if these allegations are true.
There is no max on the number of white candidates who can be interviewed.
and there is 1 Black head coach in the NFL right now.
Where is this inequality that benefits Black candidates?
so what? there are no Asian head coaches either. Why is it an issue when blacks are slightly under represented but not when they're massively overrepresented? There have been years with several black head coaches- do you think owners have gotten more racist as time goes on? A few changes in a sample size of 30 swings things a lot percentage wise but doesn't mean anything.
there's no max on the number of black candidates allowed to be interviewed either so that's a moot point.
NOTHING Flores has said about anything has shown any racism at all.

How do you know he was fired for not being corrupt and following the owners illegal wishes?
Ross isn’t going to be forced to sell the team. You’re just hoping for that.

Lol. Sounds like you weren’t even there when it happened and all went down.
Nobody said he was announced as head coach. If you would’ve been around you’d know that it was reported by many sources he was offered the job, they hired Tomlin instead, and Grimm was paid off afterwards, and it’s still talked about today. If you were in Pittsburgh you’d know that.
Harbaugh reported he thought he had the job, and it’s simply a strawman argument by yourself to deflect from Grimm.
No, I wasn’t there on the day it happened.. lol. You do realize the internet was a thing in 2007. I also traveled back and forth to Pittsburgh often at that time because my father was ill.
If you were aware you would know several papers reported that Grimm was hired. The Tribune announced it. Its in your freaking link dude. The Sunday paper falsely claimed Grimm was the head coach.
I’m in Pittsburgh often. No one is talking about Russ Grimm 15 years. I was at a game this year at Heinz Field. No one mentioned his name. lmao
and who is deflecting from Grimm? Hell, who cares about Grimm. That was 15 years ago dude.

Sorry I should have been more specific. Going 100 percent by what Flores has said, that's why he was fired, not racism.
If your boss wants you to do something, legal or not and you don't listen you're likely to get fired. Now maybe that's grounds for a lawsuit, but it's doesn't follow the racist narrative he's pushing. Nor does an interview with Elway not going the way he wanted it to.Trashing their starting qb in public (even though he's right about the qb) probably didn't help his cause either.
Teams tampering with someone like Brady isn't remotely shocking. Neither is tanking. Offering a coach money to lose is pretty shocking if true.
