"3. The soft-on-crime days of coddling criminal
behavior will end. We will re-fund and
respect the police because they, not the
criminals, are the good guys."

But the USA is already one of the most incarcerated nations in the world. Where does Scott think the money is coming from to house yet more criminals in prison from the result of re-funding police? More and more states are being "soft-on-crime" from lack of money to build yet more prisons. For example, Oklahoma knew it couldn't sustain year after year being the most imprisoned state in the union. Therefore, it passed laws to make it harder to go to prison by making some felonies as misdemeanors.

"5. We will grow America’s economy, starve
Washington’s economy and stop Socialism.
Socialism is un-American and always leads to poverty
and oppression. We will stop it. We will shrink the federal
government, reduce the government work force by 25% in
5 years, sell government buildings and assets, and get rid of
the old, slow, closed, top-down, government-run-everything
system we have today. "

What specifically does that mean? Social Security and Medicare must be abolished? When they were passed Republicans opposed them because it was socialism to them.

Congress last passed tax reform in 2017. That Congress could have made certain EVERYONE paid something or No one paid ANYTHING. But that’s not how it went down. The Refundable Child Tax Credit was doubled and along with EITC, increased the percentage of filers with no Federal Income Tax obligation.

Republicans held the majority in both Chambers and Trump was willing to sign anything.

Rick Scott was in the Senate and there is no history he lobbied for everyone paying SOMETHING.

It was beautifully put together and a nice fantasy. Unfortunately, those days of America are long gone.

Indifference, dismissal of others sure isn’t love now is it?

A lot of bad stuff in there:

"Our kids will say the Pledge of Allegiance" - not as long as the words "under God" are in there; a blatant violation of religious freedom, to force kids to acknowledge a God they or their parents may not believe in.

"The nuclear family is crucial to civilization, it is God’s design for humanity, and it must be protected and celebrated." I got nothing against the nuclear family, but no need to invoke the Easter Bunny. I mean, atheists have nuclear families also.

"Finish building the wall, and name it after President Donald Trump." Trump promised a wall, and he failed, so why name it after him?

"We will fight for maximum voter participation and zero percent voter fraud." Liar. If that were true, you would vote for the For The People Act

You do you, leave everyone else the hell alone.
What about changing all laws and official government text to remove "gendered language" to remove all instances of 'she' or 'him' and replace them with 'birthing person', 'they' etc... What about granting legal damages for emotional harm due to employers not using "Zhe" or "Zho" pronouns under existing sex discrimation laws (meant to be male/female)? What about having to grant access to female jails for males claiming to be trans females so they can rape other prisoners?

Because all those things are happening without the legal government recognition of 2 distinct sexes and genders

What words specifically show indifference and dismissal?

True but Rick Scott (who is much older than me) likes to say "When I was growing up" before talking about what he learned in school and how classrooms were structured. All I am saying is perhaps it is good that we have changed some things since myself or Rick Scott were kids.

If my kids were receiving the same level of education I received K-8 grades, I would yank them out and teach them myself.

And if my child today got the excellent education I did at a public school ... we wouldn't be homeschooling today.

A bad education is a bad education. Regardless of when or where it occurred.
