Me too, it's worth more than when I bought it almost 2 years ago and I can drive it for near nothing in energy cost plus it's fast as hell and can handle.
Bring out a S10 siz reg cab EV truck with 400hp and i am a buyer randle.
My 2015 Prius gets about 42 MPG but I can eat a full tank of gas within a day because I do Uber/Lyft part time and average about 250 miles daily around the city. Yes, I can put alot of miles on a car.. ..changing over to an EV will put me in a stuff because an EV that gets more range costs considerably more than my 2015 Prius did, and an EV that gets less range will end up needing to stop and recharge in the middle of my shift.
Define "huge". Depending on your age that "coupe" your parents had may well have been a land yacht like a two door Caprice from the 1980s or a Grand Prix from the '70s (or even early/mid 80s).
The family vehicle in my house growing up was a 1977 Chevy Nova 4-door, for 2 adults and 3 kids. No sports, but my 2 brothers and my dad were all into Boy Scouts, so that car toted a lot of camping gear over the years.

Good points. You little hybrid can go a long way on a road, compared to an EV.
Funny, this thread about gas "closing on on $4" was only started on 2/28 and on 3/2 I saw a posted price of $4.1990 at the Sunoco A-Plus in Stroudsburg, PA. And Gas Buddy tells me the price is still the same today. Not gonna go lower anytime soon, I'm afraid.
We will longingly look back at this thread when gas hits $7. The why aren't we more like Europe crowd will be very happy.
I remember back in 2009 when gas was over $4 gallon and people were giving away trucks and SUVs that got 12-20mpg. I was on a GM dedicated forum and people were going on and on about how nice smaller cars were the future and how GM and Ford were so far behind in that segment.
I ended up buying a Prius in 2009 and it was very hard to find one because dealers were marking up new and used Priuses by as much as $5,000.
Fast forward to 2022 and gas is once again closing in on $4+. And large trucks and SUVs have been selling like hot cakes for the last 5-6+ years.
Bronco, Jeep’s, Rams, Tundra, F150, Silverado, Tahoe, Tacoma — the big trucks that mostly get under 20mpg have sold well for a while now with people paying sticker price or even markups.
But what happens if gas goes to $4.50 or $5+? Surely this will sting an extra bit for those who now have payments on $50-60k trucks plus paying inflated prices for everything else that keeps going up.
Will we once again see trucks being liquidated like we did in 2009?
I remember that. There were great deals to be had. We picked up a mint Ford Excursion then.

Yeah, waiting to see if it returns before buying. A lot of people aren’t good with money so families spending $250+/month extra on gas might mean more trucks for sale. I have this fear that I’ll spend $50k and a month later the same truck will be $35k lol.
Old trucks are near the recycle stage in life. Newer trucks will be seeing discounts soon. There's no going back after this, folks. gas is on its way out. If you want a truck, wait for those discounts (avoid older trucks, not worth the maintenance/fuel costs).
