If he had said that to Kindergartners that might be a different thing. Yes, parents decide whether their 5 year old has to wear a mask. Most parents do not insist that their kid wear a mask but I'm sure some do.

Its obvious mask bother DeSantis so maybe they should’ve found kids who don’t want to wear mask for this photo opt instead of trying to shame kids to take them off.
It was a bad look and shows that this dude doesn’t want it to be left up to the parents. He wants everyone to take the mask off and berated kids for choosing to wear them.
