In one week, the price of gasoline, here in the Triangle, has gone up from $3.50 to $3.80 - $3.90.... This is insane! I have no idea how people who live paycheck to paycheck are able to afford this....
$3.07....paid above 3 bucks for the first time on Monday at Costco in years. It's good that many companies are allowing some wfh on a few days of the week. Gas saved!
Here in northern rural Wisconsin, it was $3.29 early last week, then $3.39 late in the week, and now $3.59 most places and $3.69 a few places.
However, it wasn't as bad as when Biden first came into office, when it went from about $1.89 to $2.74 in less than a month! (If memory serves, that is.)
Gasbuddy is often wrong. It shows our gas at $3.29 and it is at $3.49.
No it's not, but you can certainly try and cherry pick and pretend. Any gas listed is correct for the specific station at the time reported. But we've been through this before and lying about it isn't going to change anything. Please just stop.

In the eastern part of South Carolina. I generally go out on Wednesdays each week (senior discount day). Last Wed. gas was at $3.19. When I went out this week, it was up to $3.38. In late January, it was bouncing back and forth between $2.95 and $2.99.
I bit the bullet and filled the tank even though I didn't need to yet. Had not put gas in since early December so I'm one of the lucky ones. Can't imagine what people that have to commute each week are going through. I do know that my neighbor's truck has been parked in his driveway for about 5 months and he's driving the Toyota back and forth to work (about 20 miles each way).
